Extension and Cushioning of the Connection Between Bridge Piers and Deck
Taiwan is located in an earthquake zone, with frequent seismic activity. The bridge anti-fall device is designed to extend and cushion the connection between the bridge piers and the deck during an earthquake, preventing immediate bridge collapse and protecting vehicles and people from falling.
Cable
  • Uses low-relaxation 7-wire PC steel strand conforming to CNS 3332 G3073 standards, with an outer layer coated in high-density polyethylene (HDPE).
  • The anchor ends are made from high-strength alloy steel (SCM440) processed into thick anchor sleeves. The steel strands and anchor sleeves are integrated in a single axial extrusion process using specialized machin
Anchoring
  • The end anchors use a nut-locking mechanism, making installation easy and providing sufficient thread length for adjustable length.
  • Metallic anti-corrosion treatment for both ends of the anchor bolts.
Steel Strand
  • Uses low-relaxation 7-wire PC steel strand conforming to CNS 3332 G3073 standards. These strands are bundled into cables composed of either 7 or 19 PC steel strands, used as cushioning connection cables for anti-fall bridge devices.
  • The outer layer is coated with high-density polyethylene (HDPE) for excellent weather resistance.
